UK Short Breaks

A short break in Coniston in the Lake District is a possibility for either summer 2013 or 2014!  Yes we have got the dates right, group reservations have to be made early.  Please see our current newsletter for further information and this page will be updated when more details are to hand.

Malvern Hills - a short break in Malvern in July was much enjoyed by all who went.  Whilst the weather wasn't brilliant it didn't stop the enjoyment.  Great walks, great food and great company what more could one wish for!

The group enjoyed an autumn break in Selworthy, Exmoor where we stayed for 3 nights from 15 October 2010 at HF's Holnicote House.  We were blessed with glorious long days of sunshine, beautiful views and lovely walks - what more could one wish for!

Recent trips include Dartmoor, Isle of Wight, Brecon Beacons, Sussex, Kent, Tintern, Dovedale, the Pembrokeshire coastline and Dartmouth.

In early July 2009 we enjoyed a few glorious days in Dartmouth exploring the area both on foot and by boat.  The rain held off until the very last afternoon and so we were able to enjoy some good walks and we were also fortunate to visit Greenways of Agatha Christie fame along with Coleton Fishacre (left) once the home of the D'Oyly Carte family.

Other themed visits

Amongst other things we have visited art galleries in Paris, the Ludlow Festival, gardens at Sissinghurst.

In July 2007 the group visited Chichester where, some great walks were enjoyed along with the more cutural aspects.
